We have installed a new shopping cart program on our web site, providing updated security and more features. If you established a customer account last year in our old cart, we were unable to transfer your account password to our new cart because it was encrypted. Please click on 'Recover Password" in the help menu on the left side of the catalog pages to reset your password.
We now grow our hostas in two sizes.
A couple of years ago we started offering smaller, less expensive plants and they have become so popular that they are now a major part of our catalog and we are expanding the list as fast as we can. We've had several names for this size, Liners, Single-eye Divisions, and now HalfPints. We have no intention of moving away from our standard size plants, but now you have a choice.

Generally, our standard size plants are grown in 4½" pots, though small varieties are often grown in 3" pots. Our HalfPint Hostas are grown in 3" pots or plugs. They are smaller and less expensive because they take us less time to grow. If you are willing to do some of the growing yourself, you can save quite a bit compared to our standard size. Obviously, different plants grow at different rates, and the number of eyes and pot size varies in both sizes. The only constant is that the plants listed as Pint-Size are smaller than our standard plants, even if the pot size and number of eyes is the same. In general, HalfPint Hostas purchased now will be about the same size as our regular plants the following spring. These plants are not difficult to grow, all you need to do is keep them watered and follow the growing advice on our site. Quantities are limited on some varieties, but we are adding new ones all the time.
