Bridgewood Gardens is a mail order nursery specializing in hostas.  A real nursery, not one of those pretend e-commerce nurseries that takes your order and then calls someone who actually grows plants and tells them to send you some some.  We grow hostas.  We've been growing them since 1979.

Bridgewood Gardens began as part of The Crownsville Nursery, a mail order nursery that has been supplying a wide variety of high quality perennials, woody plants, and tropicals to serious gardeners since 1979. You can visit their website at  www.crownsvillenursery.com.  We were located in Crownsville, Maryland, just outside of Annapolis, for 24 years, and in 2003 we moved to Strasburg, Virginia.

Since The Crownsville Nursery carries a very wide range of plants for the garden, we decided back in 1994 that our hosta collection was growing too large to be included in a general perennial catalog. It needed a home of its own. Thus began Bridgewood Gardens, operated separately from The Crownsville Nursery, but the plants offered in both catalogs are all grown by the same people. 

We are located near Front Royal, Virginia, at the northern end of the Shenandoah National Park.  We operate by mail order only and do not have a facility that customers can visit.  We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate requests to pick up plants at the nursery.
